Lucerne, a compact city in Switzerland known for its preserved medieval architecture, sits amid snow-capped mountains on Lake Lucerne. Interlaken is a traditional resort town in the mountainous Bernese Oberland region of central Switzerland. Built on a narrow stretch of valley, between the emerald-colored waters of Lake Thun and Lake Brienz, it has old timber houses and parkland on either side of the Aare River. Its surrounding mountains, with dense forests, alpine meadows and glaciers, have numerous hiking and skiing trails. If you take the optional tour of Mt. Jungfrau than proceed to Kleine Scheidegg. Once there you’ll board the cogwheel train for a spectacular ride up to Jungfraujoch via Kleine Scheidegg. En route you’ll have stunning views of the world-famous triple peaks of Eiger, Mönch and Jungfrau.
When you reach the top, marvel at the high alpine wonderland of eternal ice, snow and rock. Experience the Alpine Sensation adventure tour marking the 100th anniversary of the Jungfrau Railway. Return to Zurich at 12:45 where you have some time at leisure, perfect for lunch, to relax and to explore the area. see the enchanting buildings of the Old Town. Go to the Swiss National Museum, built in the style of a Renaissance chateau. Continue to the Lindenhof neighborhood to see the Roman castle. Discover Europe’s largest clock face on the façade of St. Peter’s Church.
Admire the stained glass windows by Marc Chagall in the Fraumünster Church. Learn about the abbey's history. Continue to the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology, one of the highest-ranked engineering colleges in the world, where past alumni include Albert Einstein. End the day with a ride on the Dolder Railway, and enjoy a panoramic view of the valley from the Zürichberg. Overnight stay at Hotel in Engelberg.
Day 7 - Engelberg
Breakfast at Hotel. Visit to Geneva & Montreux. Geneva is a city in Switzerland that lies at the southern tip of expansive Lac Léman (Lake Geneva). Surrounded by the Alps and Jura mountains, the city has views of dramatic Mont Blanc. Headquarters of Europe’s United Nations and the Red Cross, it’s a global hub for diplomacy and banking. French influence is widespread, from the language to gastronomy and bohemian districts like Carouge. Montreux is a traditional resort town on Lake Geneva. Nestled between steep hills and the lakeside, it's known for its mild microclimate and the Montreux Jazz Festival, held in July. The town's promenade is lined with flowers, sculptures, Mediterranean trees and grand Belle Époque buildings.
