DAY 1 :-  ARRIVE CHENNAI

Chennai has been a theatre of battle and the seat of the southern kingdom.  Its history has erected many sites of interest amidst the benevolence of nature.  Make your way through its chaotic streets for a transfer to your hotel and later the day will see you visiting the Fort and Cathedral of St. George, and the Kapileshwara and the Mylapore Temples.  The evening can be spent at Marina Beach in the glory of glittering sand, blue skies and clear waters.  Night will lure in a deep sleep in this soulful city.

DAY 2 :-   ON TO TIRUPATI (150 KMS / APPROX 4 HRS DRIVE)

The Southern Gods will bless your travel again today.  Drive to one of the richest shrines in the world  - Tirumala’s Balaji and pay homage to Lord Venkateshwara after checking-in to your hotel.  Sleep well in the divine land of Tirupati.

DAY 3 :-  ON TO PUDUCHERRY (275 KMS / APPROX 7 HRS DRIVE)

Religious interpretations will take you to the city of Puducherry today.  Check-in to your hotel on arrival and by noon you can visit the township of Auroville.  With a motto to spread progressive harmony, this township in Puducherry is known for the peace, serenity and devotion that can soothe your mind.  You could also visit the Church of the Sacred Heart of Jesus and explore its gothic architecture.  Or simple explore this gorgeous French Colony of India with a heritage walk through lively marketplaces, Silent yet colourful lanes and witness how life thrives in this region.  A mingling of art and religion can definitely conjure miracles.  The spiritual encounters of the day will ensure you have a pleasant night in Puducherry.

DAY 4 :-   IN PUDUCHERRY

Today explore the wonders of Puducherry on your own.  You could visit the Autobindo Ashram and find inner peace through Its emphasis on Yoga or sit by its pristing beaches, churches, lighthouses.  You could also opt for scuba diving.  The azure and clear waters around this Union Territory offers astounding opportunities to take a drie into the mesmeric under-water world and discover its magical beauty.  Puducherry is sure to give you a truly surreal experience.

DAY 5 : -   ON TO THANJAVUR (177 KS / APPROX 4 HRS DRIVE)

The city named after a giant will welcome you today.  Visit its renowned 10^th Century Brihadeesware Temple, the Palace, housing the Tamil University Museum, the Art Gallery and the Saraswati Mahal Library which houses palm leaf and paper manuscripts.  This is where history meets the present. Thanjavur will be your abode for the night.

DAY 6 : -  ON TO CHENNAI (350 KMS / APPROX 9 HRS DRIVE)

A day’s drive will bring you to Chennai.  Sleep well after a long day.  Tomorrow you leave this coastal city.

DAY 7 :-  DEPART CHENNAI

The colonists and natives have taught you a lot on this tour take every new experience along on the journey ahead.

DAY 6 :- ON TO MADURAI (160 KMS / APPROX 4 HRS DRIVE)

Madurai will unravel Hindu mythology for you.  The city dominated by its colourful skyline is one of the oldest cities in India.  Check-in to your hotel on arrival and noon will see you at the staggering array of gods, goddesses and demons at the Meenakshi Temple.  Your prayers are bound to be answered in the presence of so many.  Let the Gods of Madurai bless you tonight.

DAY 7 : - IN MADURAI * DAY EXCURSION TO RAMESHWARAM (176 KMS / APPROX 4 HRS DRIVE)

Rameshwaram is believed to be the place from where Lord Rama built the bridge to Sri Lanka.  This holy city will take you on a tour of its famous Ramanathaswamy Temple.  Renowned for its magnificent corridors and massive sculpted pillars, the 3^rd corridor of the temple is the longest one in the world.  Also visit the Kodandramswamy Temple and the island of Danushkodi before heading back to Madurai for the night.

DAY 8 :-  DEPART MADURAI
