DAY 1 ARRIVE DELHI * ON TO SHIMLA (330 KMS / APPROX 9 HRS DRIVE)

Delhi is your gateway to the hills beyond.  Arrive in the capital and hit the roads on a picturesque drive to the charming hill station of Shimla.  On arrival, check into your hotel.  The evening can be spent exploring Mall Road and its many nuances.  Spend the night in the hills of Shimla.

DAY 2  IN SHIMLA * EXCURSION TO KUFRI AND CHAIL (20 KMS / APPROX 1 HR DRIVE)

The morning will take you on a wonderful excursion to Kufri and Chail.  The pleasant climate and stunning natural beauty is just a preview of the day ahead.  Hike through the thick cedar woods to Mahasu Peak. The panoramic view of the Kedarnath and Badrinath ranges make it worth the effort.  Relax in the comfort of your hotel after the day’s hike.

DAY 3 ON TO MANALI (272 KMS / APPROX 8 HRS DRIVE)

Drive through the scenic roads to the abode of mountain adventures - Manali Nestled on the banks of the River Beas amidst the Kullu Valley it is the base for many forays into the snow-capped peaks.  Check into your hotel on arrival and let the cool breeze take you on a sleepy trip.

 DAY 4  IN MANALI

Your first day at Manali will let you pay obeisance to the divine and the artistic.  Visit the four and a half-century-old Hidimba Devi Temple, the Tibetan Monastery which houses several images of Lord Buddha.  Tankha paintings and the handicraft centre.  The vibes in town are sure to get to you Sleep well amidst the wonders of Manali.

 DAY 5  IN MANALI * EXCURSION TO ROHTANG PASS / SNOW POINT (51 KMS / APPROX 2 HRS DRIVE)

Your second day at Manali depends on what you choose to do Lay back and explore the picturesque town some more or opt for a visit to Rohtang Pass (Closed on Tuesday’s) If roads to Rohtang Pass are closed, then visit Snow Point where you can hire ponies/horses on (direct payment basis) and have a look around.  The snow provides company enough to spend the whole day.  Head back to your hotel after all the excitement.

DAY 6  ON TO KULLY * EXCURSION TO MANIKARAN (38 KMS / APPROX 1.5 HRS DRIVE)

Cradled by the majestic Himalayas Kullu is a beauty redefined Drive to its marvellous landscapes and check into your hotel.  A short nap later you can proceed on an excursion to Manikaran and witness the famous hot springs of the Himalayas.  Enjoy a good night’s sleep in the mountain abode.

DAY 7 ON TO PANCHKULA / CHANDIGARH (280 KMS / APPROX 8 HRS DRIVE)

Drive to the well-planned city of Panchkula / Chandigarh.  On arrival, check into your hotel.  Spend the evening exploring its colourful market and streets.  Himachal has unravelled its many sides. Chandigarh could be your last stop.

DAY 8  ON TO DELHI (255 KMS / APPROX 6 HRS DRIVE)

Bid adieu to the splendour of Himachal as you are transferred to Delhi airport/railway station for your onward journey.

DAY 8 IN CHANDIGARH

Chandigarh will introduce you to gardens galore.  Visit the Rock Garden created by Nek Chand using rocks, bottle tops, fluorescent lights, tin cans, broken glass, and many other curios, this is ingenuity at its creative best.  The 1600 species of roses at the Rose Garden will envelop you in a sense of utter bewilderment.  Adding to the amazement is Asia’s largest Cactus garden with over 3500 species of cactus.  Thereafter drive to the 17th century Pinjore gardens which contain a mini zoo, nursery, a Japanese garden, historic palaces and picnic lawns.  In the evening, visit Sukhna Lake, an artificial manmade lake spread over 3 sq km. The day can come to a close with a boat ride on the lake on (direct payment basis) Spend the night amazed by this visionary state.

DAY 9  IN CHANDIGARH * DAY EXCURSION TO BHAKRA NANGAL DAM (116 KMS / APPROX 2.5 HRS DRIVE)

Today, proceed for an exciting excursion to Bhakra Nangal Dam.  This is one of the largest dams in India and the highest gravity dam in the world.  The dam has led to the creation of Gobind Sagar, a 40 sq. Km. Reservoir where one can enjoy boating in the evening, visit Sector 17, the main shopping centre of Chandigarh.  This pedestrian’s paradise is scattered with fountains, sculptures, groves of trees and can cater to every shopper's needs.  Enjoy your last day in this garden state to the fullest.

DAY 10  ON TO DELHI (255 KMS / APPROX 6 HRS DRIVE)

Himachal has bestowed you with all its grace.  Content as you are proceeding on your onward journey.
